PRO: This is clearly a knock-off of the Stroboframe 350 at about half the price.

PRO: I cradle the lens with my left hand and use my right hand to grip the camera and trip the shutter.With the handle mounted on the left, you can still use that "hold" for horizontal framing without any interference from the bracket.

CON: With the handle mounted on the right, you cannot use that "hold" for horizontal framing because there is not enough room between the handle and the camera body to fit your hand.

CON: Left handle mount requires a 90 degree clockwise rotation for vertical framing.This moves your left hand to the top and your right hand to the bottom, creating an awkward, unstable grip.

CON: Although not possible for the reasons mentioned above, a right handle mount would be the preferred mounting method for vertical shots if there was more room between the handle and the camera because most of us prefer our shutter hand on top when framing verically. This would also benefit those who have a 'vertical' shutter release on the bottom right of the camera body.

BOTTOM LINE: Good price and good for horizontal framing.But not good enough for me so this bracket will be going back.Now I guess I have to get a Custom bracket (where the camera swivels not the flash) and pay big bucks!

Coco Ring Flash Adapter for Nikon SB-900 Flash with D300, D200, D70, D80, D50, D40, D40x, D60, & D90 Digital SLR Camera's Review

So what is the ring flash?

The coco ring flash is an adapter you slide onto your flashgun. It is built specifically to fit on the flashgun mounted on the camera with whatever lens you have on the camera sticking through the hole in the ring flash. Even my biggest lens, the Nikkor 17-55mm f2.8 (77mm diameter) easily fits in the adapter with room to spare. With the flash and adapter mounted on your camera, it grows a bit in size but is still manageable and steady. Just be warned that you will get a lot of 'what is that thing'-questions.

Overall I like it. It is a relatively inexpensive piece of lighting gear that produces results no 'bare' flash can get you. It especially shines for in-your-face portrait photography and flower macro shots.

Be warned that the fit is a bit loose, but with some additional Velcro tape (that is there for my portable soft box) it feels a lot more secure. The ring flash is clearly cheaply produced, but it is very competitively priced compared to its more expensive cousins, the Orbis and Ray Flash. Despite the relatively cheap price tag, the ring flash is fairly sturdy and has now withstood several months of shooting in various locations.

I got this Item, worked great. But after just a month it stopped working. I sent it back for an exchange. Was waiting a month to get a new one back. Didn't get a chance to test it yet. I hope it will not break in a month as previous one.

For my use this is the ideal tool, makes it very easy to get the job done. It is heavy and I recommend using a mono pod with it, otherwise no complaints. I would recommend it to anyone that needs to shoot on the run and wants a stable camera platform to work with. Easy to use and I love it.

A good flash diffuser that fits just like the original Nikon diffuser on the SB-900...

Just make sure that you actually need to buy it ... don't get caught. Like me, I didn't know that the SB-900
Nikon SB-900 AF Speedlight Flash for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras
comes with a Nikon flash diffuser... so I bought this along with the flash and ended up having two flash diffusers.
It's a good thing I'd say .. there's nothing bad in keeping an extra diffuser just in case :) ...
