Looks:
Simply speaking, it enables you to have your soft box or umbrella attached to your camera and shooting hand-holding it. Do you imagine how professional that would look in weddings or birthdays or that sort of shooting if you are in the photography business. I kept seeing big smiles on people faces when seeing me with the bulky equipment and every one seems to be forward in wanting their picture taking thinking they will definitely look good in them.

Quality (photography produced):
I do have many different types of diffusers for my set of flashes, I do mainly location shooting (for web, catalogs, ceremonial occasions etc) and the alzo soft box on that bracket produces very good results unmatched by any other diffuser, particularly good for human portraits. The umbrella worked fine too, you can attach two units for your main light and move around with them, very useful in very low light places where you can direct either flash to different angle to illuminate little bit of the background.

Quality of Bracket manufacture:
Seems to be sturdy enough, I haven't had it for a long time yet to comment on its durability, but looks like it will hold for some time, specially when its not going to be used for every shot you take!

Practicality:
It's not very easy shooting while hand-holding that bulk! It's heavy and have to be hold in both hands because it will put stressful torque if hand held in one arm, and you will get tired very quickly. When putting it down, the camera will not rest naturally attached to the bracket. Tilting the camera however, is very easy to perform while shooting. Attaching the soft box or umbrella very easy and very practical. If you wish to detach the camera from the bracket to attach it to the tripod then you will have to change the attachment piece which is not very practical.

Price:
For me is very reasonable.

Overall review:
I never thought I will have a soft box attached to my camera this way, and although portable softbox can be set as easily apart from the camera and can be better controlled too, but what works for me well is the reaction of the people I shoot I don't only get big grins because of it but also good professional reputation. compare me with another guy shooting the same function with the old boring flash on top of his camera, who of the two would you like him to take your photo then?

DMKfoto Speedlight to Studio Lighting Conversion Kit B Review

I had several minor issues with this item.First, the flash shoe slot into which you slide the flash was too small.It was very diffcult to slide the flash into and I had to try and expand the slot.I ended up taking out the spring in the slot to ease the insertion. Second, the bag that is provied is about 2 times too big for what is needed to carry this stand and small umbrella.However, it worked fine and is a good price/value.

unit works great with my canon flashes and has a really good range. I'm shooting with a Canon EOS 1Ds Mark II andCanon 550ex & 430ex speedlite Flashes and it works Great! I used it up to about 30 feet from my flash and it still worked great. I haven't gotten far enough away from it for it to not work.it also has a PC cord but but i haven't been able to test that yet because the "ear phone" jack side of the cord is too small to fit into my studio flashes, but i'msure it will work with an adapter. Over all i'm Very Happy with this $30 investment.oh and the battery life is pretty good too it uses 2 AAAs

I am glad I took a chance on a new seller as there was not any feedback for ALZO on Amazon when I was researching which kit to purchase. Free shipping was included, and I had the kit within a few days.I am very pleased with this product. It is sturdy yet lightweight for its size. I was worried about the quality for the price, but this will work perfect for portrait and wedding shoots.I have tried a few different types of flash brackets but have not been happy with the weight, quality or design of any of them. However, this one is perfect. You can not beat the price for everything that is included in this kit.Even though it was not all listed, included is storage pouches for everything:the softbox, the softbox connector hardware, a connector with two hot shoes and the very conveniently made telescoping flip bracket itself.For every other seller I researched, you have to at least buy the softbox connector hardware separately for $25-$30 extra.Putting the kit all together, it would seem like it would be too bulky and awkward to use, but I am not having any trouble getting used to it. Even attaching my 30D with a battery grip on it, it flips horizontally and vertically without a hitch.

This was a great buy. So far so good. It came in a timely manor and because it came with the batteries and charger, I was able to plug it in to charge and used it the next day. I can really tell a difference with this flash compared to the camera's built in flash on my Nikon D40X. I took a picture in a dark room with just a little sunlight coming through, and the photo came out looking like I took it in the perfect lighted conditions.

Several years ago, Nikon created the "Speed of Light" DVD, featuring Joe McNally demonstrating the (then) new SB-800 speedlight. Nikon missed an opportunity to create a true educational resource in its quest to quickly highlight the features of its flagship speedlight.
